Enjoy a view of seasonal flowers that reminds one of Switzerland at a pension village.

"Aramiya," situated near the entrance of Zao Pension Village, is an inn operated by a soba noodle shop owner. The first floor of the spacious log house still opens as a soba noodle shop only on Saturdays and Sundays. Accommodations are available year-round. During winter, the inn is bustling with tourists from Japan and overseas who visit the Zao Onsen Ski Resort and Zao Onsen Hot Springs.

I used to have a soba noodle shop in Oisawa, Nishikawamachi, Nishimurayama-gun, Yamagata Prefecture. I wanted to start a farmer's inn and moved to this location in the Zao Pension Village. Growing up in the mountains, I am confident in my knowledge of sansai mountain vegetables and mushrooms.
